Montblanc Meisterstück 181 ballpoint pen.
Manufactured in Germany in the 1970´s.
Still with the unique cardinal’s cap band and the propel/retract lever set into the clip.
The design of the cap band was intended to represent a mountain, however, the pen has come to be known as the “bishop’s (or cardinal’s) hat” due to its shape.
Clip lever mechanism.
Black resin Barrel and gold plated clip and ring.
The Gold plated ring bears the inscription MONTBLANC 181.
The pen is in Near MINT condition. No damages, No scratches, No signs of use.
Pen barrel is free from scratches, with no dents, cracks or hairlines. Shiny barrel.
There are no personalisations or names engraved. Clip and cap band are excellent, showing no signs of age.
Mechanism operating perfectly. The pen was completely serviced, tested and cleaned.
Supplied with a Montblanc adapter to hold modern refills.
The Montblanc adapter included is no longer commercially available and they are very hard to find.
Great pen to add to any collection.
